Emily Baker

New year,  new projects, new everything!!
or at least I think that's pretty much what we'd like and hope for when a new year starts...

And after the big holidays, big catching up with work too!! I am soooo ready for the weekend to start =)

The illustration today is one of beautiful Emily Baker,  who I belive is only 18 and already has walked Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, and Rag&Bone (to name just a few) !!
I thought it would be a cool computer wallpaper =)
so if you want to have it, click here to download it!

Happy Weekend!

Kate Moss in pink

Hello everyone!
I am still here... So sorry I've been posting so inconsistently (or better to say not posting at all) lately.
It has been a fun summer though.
I have been renewing my website with the help of my friend Alvaro... I really liked what he did, you can check it out here...

This is an illustration I did for it, it started as quick Kate Moss sketch to practice profiles for another project I've been working on... and after a few tries (that I will share later) the very final looks like this! and I just love it!

Hope this will make it up for my absence =)

codie young

Who says 17 was young and inexperienced??

According to some she is to be the next Gemma Ward...
Codie Young

The beautiful dreamy-eyes-17-years-old-australian girl has already modeled for the big ones at the fashion shows not to mention some editorials and covers for vogue...
Perhaps that's why Australian Vogue titled this editorial Perfectly Pretty?

I must admit she reminds me of a perfect porcelain doll. And again, she's only 17 !!

Fashion Week

The whole city getting prepared for it, officially starting today at 9am

Yesterday I was so impressed while reading about the millions generated each year by the 232,000 attendees at Fashion Weeks, for more than $466 million in direct visitor spending and contributing to $1.6 billion in annual tax revenue to the City’s fashion industry, according to Baiganchoka's blog.
OMG...really?!
And of course I wanted to do something for the big event, so I did this illustration of Natasha Poly, Lara Stone, Abbey Lee and Freja Beha Erichsen, they are 4 of the top favorite models from last fashion week.
I did it a little bit in a rush to have it ready for today and wasn't sure how it would turned out... and honestly I really liked it!
Hope you too!

MakeUp Tuesday

Well yes, this is pretty much how we ladies look like before going out looking gorgeous, I shouldn't include my self in the group... I almost never put on any make up... I am sooooo lazy for it!!

Lily Cole was so fun to draw, she has such a "poupé rousse" face. There's something about her that is so eye catching. The illustration comes from "The Glamour Issue" of British Vogue December 2007. Glamorous!

and yes i love the colors!!!

PS   Can't believe we are only one week away for Christmas eve!!

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

I always look like a Christmas tree, I so many bags hanging on my shoulders and hands all day =).
But today I was feeling more like a little witch... haha! I bought a broom (well yes I also do some cleaning here...) and felt so weird carrying it around while running some errands before coming to  the studio
any way, my hands officially felt the winter cold 'cause of course I was caring everything but my gloves, which remind me it was time for an illustration with a winter feeling and thought how lovely watercolor could it get done with the fur of this coat.... inspired in a pic of Tanya Dziahileva =)

And for the weekend

It has been a not so painting week for me. I got a new studio, so have been packing and unpacking from the old to the new and been doing some "decoration" (if I could call it that way)... I will post some pictures when it is ready.

Any way I did this illustration a few weeks ago and just want to quickly post it for you to enjoy over the weekend!

I really like it because it is one of my favorites models, Sasha Pivovarova, wearing a incredible red velvet jacket design by the talented Alexander McQueen.

Hope you like it as much as your weekend =)

Already here

So already installed in the studio... I am really loving it, the lighting is perfect, the view, the space the feeling... !!!
I still need to buy the camera for the pics I promised!!! ;)

This is the first illustration I painted here. It's inspired in a picture I found of Sasha Pivovarova, I love the expression, like a naive look and yet a touch of sensuality...

Hope you like it too!
