I loved loved this video when I saw it

Rebecca Moses is an artist and designer best known for her fashion label.

She has also created a reputation for her stylist fashion illustrations, so she teamed up with Fratelli Rossetti to create this video for their Fall/Winter 2011 Collection.
The story, based on the nursery rhyme of an "old mother goose who lives in a shoe...", is about young ladies who live in a shoe around the world.

A project like this one has come to my "Project Wish List"....=)

I was first drawn by Alec Strang Fashion Illustrations because they remind me a bit of Laura Laine's work but extra artsy and darker touch. 

The amazing thing is that he didn't stop at fashion illustration, he created this amazing video worth watching, I was in total bliss while watching it, and just felt a big urge to start learning how to create animations with the illustrations!

Kareem Iliya

Mmmm, well no, this is not me....
This Is Kareem Iliya, one of my favorite illustrator and a water color expert.

She did this collaboration for Perrier-Jouët that I think is beyond amazing. 

The colors, the silhouettes, the story....

Ruben Toledo & Nordstrom

Ruben Toledo is one of my favorite illustrators... he has a very interesting and attracting imagination, his characters always have a very particular ease, fun yet dramatic strong look.

And I just found out that now he presents a limited edition book with the illustrated story of 10 years of collaboration with Nordstrom, 

Ruben Toledo's Fashion Almanac Book.

I am ABSOLUTELY buing it!! Can't wait to discover its pages... and while looking for it, I looked at this wonderfull video where we see a life drawing and painting session with Coco Rocha for Nordstrum... iyou should all check it out!

Big Master

Last week my good friend Jessica invited me to very special conference.
David Downtown, one of the greatest illustrators of our time, that I love and admire, came to New York in a very quick trip and FIT had him giving a lecture on 20th Century illustrators and his own work & experience.

He was very spontaneous and inspiring for us, new illustrators.

He gave one big piece of advice, that we should not focus on finding our own style. We get so caught up in that, that we forget the very essence of our art and expression.
We need to practice, and practice.... and practice even more....
because our style is going to find US
