Paris Video

Paris...
This very homemade video goes for its beautiful townhouses, the irresistible smell of just-made croissants that chase you on the street while passing by a boulangerie, their never better macarons (of course!) and .... everything else.

expanding

I was first drawn by Alec Strang Fashion Illustrations because they remind me a bit of Laura Laine's work but extra artsy and darker touch.
The amazing thing is that he didn't stop at fashion illustration, he created this amazing video worth watching, I was in total bliss while watching it, and just felt a big urge to start learning how to create animations with the illustrations!

I couldn't have the video screen displayed on this post so I have the link for you...Enjoy it by clicking here.

my travel wish

After the big rush of adrenaline I felt when realizing they had stolen my computer charger at the airport, and destroying some illustrations and sketches as a collateral damage (I can only imagine how the found it wrapped in my pijamas at the bottom of one of the hunter's rain boots s to save some space),
I wished I knew better when it came to traveling, I guess I still have a lot to learn about how to better travel,  everything above 80% importance, I mean, dear-and-very-hard-to-replace objects are coming with me on the plain =)

Any way,  my beloved little sister was so nice she bought me a new charger.. and I was able to spend the morning learning how to add some gadgets to the blog. I must confess even if they are no exactly as I wanted them to look like, I think they totally improve the blog funcionality... now it is easier to follow the blog and share.... facebook, twitter, bloglovin'...=)

This an old illustration I made for some postcards, and my sister really really liked it...so here is for her
"You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it come true. You may have to work for it, however"  (By Richard Bach)
What are you wishes then?...

Ruben Toledo & Nordstrom

Ruben Toledo is one of my favorite illustrators... he has a very interesting and attracting imagination, his characters always have a very particular ease, fun yet dramatic strong look.

And I just found out that now he presents a limited edition book with the illustrated story of 10 years of collaboration with Nordstrom,

Ruben Toledo's Fashion Almanac Book.

I am ABSOLUTELY buing it!! Can't wait to discover its pages... and while looking for it, I looked at this wonderfull video where we see a life drawing and painting session with Coco Rocha for Nordstrum... iyou should all check it out!

And here is also the link to Nordstrum if you are interested in biuying the book you can access Nordstrum page
