codie young
According to some she is to be the next Gemma Ward...
Codie Young
The beautiful dreamy-eyes-17-years-old-australian girl has already modeled for the big ones at the fashion shows not to mention some editorials and covers for vogue...
Perhaps that's why Australian Vogue titled this editorial Perfectly Pretty?
I must admit she reminds me of a perfect porcelain doll. And again, she's only 17 !!

my travel wish

After the big rush of adrenaline I felt when realizing they had stolen my computer charger at the airport, and destroying some illustrations and sketches as a collateral damage (I can only imagine how the found it wrapped in my pijamas at the bottom of one of the hunter's rain boots s to save some space),
I wished I knew better when it came to traveling, I guess I still have a lot to learn about how to better travel, everything above 80% importance, I mean, dear-and-very-hard-to-replace objects are coming with me on the plain =)
Any way, my beloved little sister was so nice she bought me a new charger.. and I was able to spend the morning learning how to add some gadgets to the blog. I must confess even if they are no exactly as I wanted them to look like, I think they totally improve the blog funcionality... now it is easier to follow the blog and share.... facebook, twitter, bloglovin'...=)
This an old illustration I made for some postcards, and my sister really really liked it...so here is for her
"You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it come true. You may have to work for it, however" (By Richard Bach)
What are you wishes then?...

AKA Cedric
Even though I am pretty sure I would never wear my hair like this except may be for halloween... I think her hair is gorgeous =)
It was a present I made last Christmas, so after a few small and big sketches and tries...the original in big size (for what I am used to) 16"x16" is hanging in NYC Private Hair Salon AKA CEDRIC
PS The owner and I loved it =)
Happy Saturday

deep in vogue
Happy Monday!!
Rainy day in NYC and the view is so romantinc from the appartment window... so me and my big cup of tea are going to stay in, listening to Amy Winehouse on Pandora, working at home before class.
This is a little illustration I made for Vera from Deep in Vogue. She has great talent for fashion... and she even makes her own designs!! I know how challenging it is to have a terrific idea of a garment you want to construct... making what you think is THE best pattern you have ever made, sit in in front of your sewing machine, work for a few days on the project and.... surprise!! not what you wanted... try again!! Over and over again.
So I really admire her skills with the needles and fabrics.

sweet little face
This is my little cousin... she has lovely hazelnut eyes and the sweetest face, she was really nice to paint.
And these are the color scketches I did... which one do you like better?? I really liked both of them so was unsure of what color go to =)
The final portrait is ready to be shipped with its 18x24 inches, it was kind of a challenge for me since I always paint is smaller size, but any way it turned amazing! I hope her parents like it too

le grand palais
I promise I haven't been procrastinating
I was trying to get this one finished by Chanel Runway in their so amazing and now traditional show at Le Grand Palais in Paris, when this allergy-flu- sinusitis started 4 days ago and it hasn't been but getting worse and making sure I notice it... until it finally put me to bed. My advice is listen to your body when is talking to you!!
So any way, better later than ever, here it is and I really like the final illustration...
PS... I am going to be off with my posts dates a little bit =)
Have a great weekend!

Suno Collection

Hey you all! T G I F...really!
Suno fall/winter 2011 was one of my favorites collection of NY fashion week.
I really like the prints. Old fashion wallpaper prints, geometrics motifs, fearless of the mixture and the colors.
Brilliant, really it is so out of the rule yet sophisticated and elegant.
So here it is for you!
